Corrupting Celest: The Fall From Grace
As some may know, I spend many evenings streaming on Twitch, and every so often I drop in on other channels, one of which is that of FNDanteSavagte (twitch.tv/fndantesavage) and not to long ago, he made mention that he was in a band that released an album. The band was Corrupting Celest and the album, released in 2007, was The Fall From Grace, which from what I can tell, was released on the Konkshoo Record label.
The album over all is without question a product of its time period, with a very 'indy rock' sound in terms of the instruments being played, some times hard and heavy (The Worst Thing, If You Let Me) others slow and melody driven (The Fall From Grace, In This Dark)... and that's okay, if the signing was up consistent.... now I have no problem with 'screaming metal', but it is quite clear that the lead singer was at his best when not having to scream at the top of his lungs.
Which leads me to say that the best overall track is Sins of Me, it's something I could easily picture having some radio play, nice to listen too, and presents, in my opinion, a style the band was best at.
Finding the album itself these days is a bit tricky, I was lucky to grab the last copy off of Amazon, but you can find it on YouTube by clicking HERE
