Ghostbusters: Sanctum of the Slime was released in 2011, two years after the Ghostbusters Video Game, and to say it was quite different is an understatement, this game is actually similar to the Real Ghostbusters arcade game from the 1980s, you blast the ghosts on a screen and move on. Really simple. But what makes this game stand out is that it actually is a continuation of the Ghostbusters story and is an extension of Ghostbusters II with Janosz playing a role in the latest spark of paranormal activity. Now since this is set in 2011, that means the original four Ghostbusters are older which means they can't keep up with all the spooks, so they HIRE A NEW TEAM! Yes that's right, this game actually does what Amy Pascal and Paul Feig refused to do, introduce a new set of characters to bust some Ghosts while continuing the story that started in 1984. The game play isn't anything special, analog sticks to shoot and move, direction buttons used for the Ghost trap mini game, Left Bumper to cycle through weapons and the Right Button to drop the trap. This game is probably best with four players, but I don't think the online feature works anymore (at least on the PC version). Regardless, it is a fun little game that is worth picking up on the cheap end.
