Salvaging A Temporal Reckoning - Lets Play Star Trek Online

Hello Dwellers and Welcome To The Basement...

Not quite Tuesday (well it's Tuesday in some parts of the world at the time I'm writing this), and we're playing this week's mission from Star Trek Online - Temporal Reckoning. We're heading to the 28th Century because there was a major temporal incursion... and things are racing towards the climax of all this time travel madness we've been dealing with since the Iconian War.

This is the mission that brings together all the people that the player's character basically have been ticking off in one form or another, Noye, The Vorgons, The Na'Kuhl, The Sphere Builders.... plus the Mirror Universe's Admiral Leeta and the Terran Empire, who we had limited interaction with during the time we were floating around The Alpha Quadrant. That was a twist that still perplexes me abit, yes they tie it into why the USS Defiant from the original Star Trek episode 'The Tholian Web' and featured in the Enterprise episodes 'Through A Mirror Darkly'... by saying it was a gift from The Envoy (Noye) and having a message for her...

I get a headache just thinking about it ...

Anyway, you'll notice in the game-play video (and screen caps) that I'm now using Kobali Cruiser, the reason being it's caters towards Engineers better than the Scimitar, and has a thicker hull.... if weaker firepower. Granted the ship is very... very brown....

On the mission itself, it starts off with fighting through five waves of enemy vessels to bean down to the New Khitomer base, deal with a number of enemies (and the revelation of Noye as the Envoy) and then restore the temporal beacon to call in the fleet to start fighting back against Noye's forces, in a steadily escalating battle to build towards basically a 'to be continued...'

For the amount of combat seen in this mission, it's basically very straight forward, serving as a warm up for the next mission where it's just an all out war... but we'll talk about that next time.
