Arrow and The Flash Thoughts, DuckTales FINISHED!

Finally saw last weeks episode of Arrow, and it's so weird at how easily Oliver gave into James demands for $10 Million, but it was cool to see William save the kids on the school bus when the shit hit the fan, plus seeing why Oliver does what he does and why. In regards to this week's episode of The Flash, Goldberg showed more character range in this episode than in all his years in wrestling and all his previous acting endeavors, this was also a nice 'Harry' episode to give him a confidence boost while setting up Barry's secret being discovered by the 'evil' warden as a cliffhanger for next week's episode.

On tonight's twitch broadcast, I finished up DuckTales Remastered.... died probably more times in the final segments (get the dime and escape the volcano) than any other point in the game, including the lead up to facing Count Dracula Duck. I did find it hilarious that they couldn't call him Count Duckula because that was the name of a character that debuted on the classic version of Danger Mouse.Also... whenever I hear Magica Da Spell, I feel she should be like a six-foot-tall brunette from Eastern Europe hanging our with a short guy named Boris and chasing Moose and Squirrel....

Of course here are clips from my January 30, 2018 broadcast of DuckTales: Remastered

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink

One of the best mini-series I actually got the individual issues for was Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink, a story that gives long time fans the answer to 'what happened to Kimberly ' after actress Amy Jo Johnson left the show, because lets face all we got as fans was the character sending a 'Dear John' letter to Tommy and a supporting role in Turbo: A Power Rangers where she was spending time with Jason... Power Rangers Pink fills in the gap and then some.

Set during Season 3 of Power Rangers (The Ninja Era), Power Rangers Pink picks up after Kimberly left to go compete in a global gymnastics competition in France, the people in the town she is in (along with her parents) are turned into creatures as part of a plot devised by not Rita, not Lord Zedd but Goldar who at this point in the show was regulated to barely appearing as a major threat. Contacting Zordon, Kimberly is granted limited use of her old powers to save the day, but the threats mount and she needs help bringing in fellow former (and original) Rangers Zack and Trini before recruiting two locals to not only stop Goldar's plans but to also save the (then) current day Rangers.

Sure I'm leaving a lot of stuff out, but even with that basic summary, old school Power Ranger fans can tell the story is something special before getting into things like what was Kimberly's mindset when it came to sending that Dear John letter to Tommy, Goldar wanting to show up Zedd and Rita and willing to strike a deal with Kimberly when his plans backfire, what happened to Zack and Trini following the peace conference (the reason why their characters were written off the show) and so much more.

Beyond that, the artwork is really good, and what I love is the transparent helmet shots to show Kimberly's expression underneath her helmet at various points in time, which to be honest was something we never got on the show in any era. Kind of surprising when I really think about it. Plus Goldar's Typhonus Zord which is a combination of the destroyed White Tiger and Thunder Mega Zords is just wicked cool looking.

Now for my recommendation, I suggest getting the trade paperback, since you get the story plus all the variant covers for one decent price instead of hunting them down individually. Also even you're not a Power Rangers fan,  I do recommend you check Power Rangers Pink out for just how well written it is.

Supergirl, Final Exam, Aladdin, Golf & Raw?!

It's Monday Night January 29, 2018... and I did catch this week's Supergirl first instead of RAW and man this was a clunker of an episode... I'm tired of the Edge character and he doesn't show up often enough for that to happen, plus I didn't care to much for Lilian Luthor's return, but hey she got to use the Lex-Super-Suit, which was pretty bad ass.  Also during the course of tonight's twitch broadcast I kept a casual eye on RAW, and I'm glad the WWE didn't do the stupid thing and have Finn Balor pin John Cena, instead having big match John win and advance to the Elimination Chamber... hopefully this will be his road to Championship #17 and I actually got duped thinking Ronda Rousey appeared on RAW instead of was a replay of her debut last night.

On tonight's twitch broadcast, I did a triple header of games, first mission four of Final Exam was completed, and I'm now half way through that game, then broke out Disney's Aladdin and made it to the Cave of Wonders... and then did a test run of Golf with Your Friends to see if I could stream that, and the answer was a big yes, so that could be some fun casual gaming.

Doctor Who: The War Machines Part 1

It’s Monday January 29, 2018, and this week I’m starting my look at the four-part Doctor Who story, The War Machines to wrap up the third season of Classic Doctor Who as we close in on the end of the William Hartnell era of Doctor Who (which goes in to season four but I am getting ahead of myself)

Before we talk about part one, let’s address the fact that The War Machines is the last to feature Jackie Lane as Dodo, her tenure lasting six stories. Because Jackie Lane has refused to be directly involved with Doctor Who and so the character never appears on TV again, but has popped in in various expanded media of Doctor Who such as the Doctor Who novel Salvation and the Big Finish audio drama Mother Russia and Return of the Rocket Men. But here’s a bit of funny note, remember what I said that Jackie Lane refused to have DIRECT involvement with Doctor Who, she did end up being a theatrical agent representing Tom Baker, the fourth doctor, Janet Fielding who played companion Tegan Jovanka during the fifth Doctor’s era, and Nicholas Courtney, who of course was Brigadier Leftbridge-Stewart.

So now lets talk about Part 1 of the War Machines which aired June 25, 1966 and had a viewership total of 5.4 million viewers which was up 900 thousand from part 4 of the Savages, as the swing of Doctor Who viewership totals are up and down pretty erratically.

The episode opens with the Doctor and Dodo arriving in London, and the Doctor gets an odd feeling upon seeing the Post Office Tower, so he and Dodo go to investigated, where they are escorted to meet with Professor Brett who has completed his life’s work an artificial intelligence known as WOTAN that cannot make mistakes, The Doctor challenges this with question WOTAN gets right, Dodo has a go asking what TARDIS means, and shockingly WOTAN knows it stands for Time and Relative Dimension in Space. Dodo blanks out and complains about a strange buzzing in her ears for a bit and so to get a breather she accompanies Professor Brett’s secretary Polly to a night club. Polly is a stark contrast to Dodo, being much taller, blond and certainly more ‘with it’ in terms of the swinging 60s of London. At the club they meet a Sailor Ben Jackson who is depressed that he’s stuck on shore duty, but cheers up when he saves Polly from being harassed by some limey douche. Dodo, Polly and Ben have themselves a good time until Dodo gets a call, blanks out and leaves as if under some strange power. At the same time WOTAN starts to take control of people, first Professor Brett, then Major Green and Professor Krimpton, declaring through Brett that the earth cannot advance with humanity running the show and they need a special brain for it’s plans,, Dodo arrives at the post Office Tower and we hear WOTON declare ‘Doctor Who Is Requred’ as the Doctor meets up with Polly, meets Ben and learns of Dodo’s disappearance.

This episode does a lot in 30 minutes, setting up the plot, the villain and its abilities and introducing the new companions Ben and Polly, who certainly have an interesting chemistry and are as far away removed from Barbara and Ian as possible in many aspects, though it’s quite clear Ben as an enlisted man in the British Navy is intended to be the ‘man of action’ with how leaped to Polly’s defense. Polly and Dodo certainly look like they would get along famously if the character of Dodo was kept around for the fourth season. I rather liked the set for WOTON’s central hub and the night club, and since this story of Doctor Who is set in 1966, it allowed for more exterior shots.

Anyway, next week I’ll talk about part of the War Machines and the last time we see the physically character of Dodo in Doctor Who and see how WOTON goes about trying to get the Doctor. Later this week on Friday, I’ll be going over episode 2 of The Devil Lady, and of course you can catch me on Twitch 7 nights a week.

Royal Rumble Sunday 2018 Thoughts and Fire Pro Wrestling World Highlights!

Tonight was the latest edition of the WWE's annual Royal Rumble event, and overall I thought it was a fine event, if a bit long when you factor in the pre-show which had several matches on it. Needless to say though, after the garbage that was RAW's 25th Anniversary and the 'okay' nature of last night's NXT Takeover, the WWE almost had to put forth a great effort. If there was one thing wrong with the night was the stupidity of the Handicap Match for the WWE Championship, which took way to long to really get started. That said, my favorite moments of the night was  Corbin laying out Balor, Rusev and Slater to set up Elias doing his guitar playing and singing bit along with a running gag of Slater being laid out by everyone up to Sheamus who Slater eliminated.. There were plenty of surprises in both Rumbles, amazing how normal Rey Mysterio looks when NOT ON STEROIDS, The Hurricane is more out shape than I am, and it was great to see numerous former Women stars in the Women's Rumble like Molly, Trish and Beth Phoenix. At least Ronda Rousey wasn't in the Rumble, but clearly she will be involved at WrestleMania in a huge way which is fine.

Of course even with the Royal Rumble, that didn't interfere with my nightly twitch broadcast, as tonight's stream was fairly short, but featured some in-ring action from Fire Pro Wrestling World.

A Saturday Of Sonic, Metal Slug, Borderlands and NXT Takeover: Philadelphia

On Tonight's Twitch Broadcast it turned into a triple header with Sonic Mania (making it to the boss of Oil Ocean Zone), Metal Slug X (Completed using 60 Lives) and Borderlands 2 (completed Lilith's quests so on Wednesday's broadcast we'll pick up with A Damn Fine Rescue). Of course here are clips of the broadcast.

Tonight the first NXT Takeover event of the year took place, and it's quite clear the signing of every big 'indy' name available has continued to crippled the brand, as outside of Velveteen Dream & The Authors of Pain, everyone was someone the WWE signed who made names for themselves in various indy promotions around the world, giving me proof that the WWE Performance Center is not developing stars. That said, it was another okay show that please the super-marks... then again those who were at the Big Joint (The Wells Fargo Center) are primarily the marks from my home region of the greater Philadelphia area are easy to please thanks to the horrible influence that was ECW 20 years ago. Match of the night was clearly Almas vs Gargano as it was the only match with above average in-ring psychology with a very straight forward story, even though both guys were quite noticeably shorter than the referee and the ring announcers... so you know they will never main event a major WWE PPV. Worst match of the night was Moon vs Baszler, thanks to the cheap finish and Moon's god-awful over selling and fake moans that would make Storm Daniels go 'Girl, tone it done on the climax'.

Friday Night In The Borderlands & Basement News

Here are clips from my January 26, 2018 broadcast of Borderlands 2

And Now The News....

Due to WWE NXT Airing on Saturday Night, Tomorrow's broadcast will start about 10:30 PM EST and be fairly short as I'll be messing around and having fun with Sonic Mania. I've yet to keep a 'save' game no matter how far I get but maybe I will this time and keep trying to advance each time I choose to boot it up.

Sunday Night, due to the WWE Royal Rumble', my broadcast will start at about 11 PM, and again will be fairly short. The game that will be carrying that night will be Fire Pro Wrestling World, and I have found some nice 'created wrestlers' that look like WWE characters (and beyond). This game is such a perfect companion for WWE PPV nights and isn't as hard on my current computer than say the WWE 2K video games.

Monday Night Final Exam returns to the Basement and we'll pick up with level 4, Tuesday Night will be DuckTales, Wednesday Borderlands 2, Thursday Star Trek Online and Next Friday of course, Borderlands 2. Next Saturday will see the return of Jurassic Park from TellTale Games as I want to get some clips of that and also play all five chapters in one night. So Hold on to your butts!

I still haven't gotten around to watching the 2017 Doctor Who Christmas Special, why should I watch it? Considering a lot of the nonsense being spewed by Jodie Whittaker and the BBC this past month, I think I'll stick to the classic Doctor Who stories. Hell I might just move my Doctor Who review series to Saturdays when the next series starts just to leach off the Social Media hype for each episode. Got to think ahead with these things. Of course on Monday I'll start reviewing Doctor Who: The War Machines, the final 4-part story from the original season 3.

The Devil Lady: Beast

The Date is January 26, 2018, and this week's Anime Review is The Devil Lady Episode 1: Beast

Episode 1, titled Beast, originally aired October 10, 1998… and we meet our heroine Jun Fudo, a model who feels that something is quite right, she’s not totally focused on her work, though the photographer she’s working with thinks she’s doing great (considering he wants to go out to dinner with her, he’s probably kissing her booty!), Heading home she runs into Kazumi, a young model, and also spots the mystery Lan Asuka, who drops in on Jun at home and takes her to a warehouse, and forcing Jun to face a Werewolf like creature, explaining that Jun has ‘beast blood’ in those who are beasts have desire to hunt and kill their fellow beast.

Terrified, Jun screams for help and suffers some apparent life threatening wounds before something awakens inside of her and she transforms, punches and seemingly kills the Werewolf creature but punching through it’s mouth and tears its arms off. Lan tries to give Jun more details as to what she is, a Devilman, but the creature recovers and grows to tremenous size, saying ‘Jun betrayed her kind’ and sets out trying to kill her, only for Jun to transformer further as the episode ends on a cliffhanger with Jun in her hellish form ready to thrown down with there creature Godzilla style.

This is one hell of an opening episode as we are introduces to three characters, Jun, Kazumi and Lan, who is looking to make Jun into a Beast Hunter, possibly in a whole ‘save the world from great evil’ plot, that’s my assumption but we of course shall see how things develop in the comings months. I think the art with all the dark shading is great, even if it makes getting good screenshots for his review a pain in the ass, and the theme music is quite awesome with it being clearly demonic. Visually, you can tell this is Go Nagi’s work with how similar the characters look to those in New Cutie Honey, even if they are far less cartoony in style. I’m really looking forward to going over episode 2, ‘Blood’ next week.

Star Trek Online Highlights and Other Thoughts!

Hey everyone, first here are highlights from tonight's broadcast of Star Trek Online.

THOUGHTS OF A RANDOM NATURE

Today I added two new trade collections to my comic book collection, Spider-Gwen volumes 2 and 3 which gives me issues 9-15 of the series plus the All-New Wolverine annual #1. What I like out Spider-Gwen is that a lot of it reminds me of the Spider-Girl comics from the late 90s early 2000s, so I'm looking forward to sitting down and reading these over the coming weeks. Currently I'm re-reading Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Pink for next week's full on comic book review, and if there is a big advantage to getting the trade collections versus individual issues is that is it so much easier to keep track of minor details.

As many know I am a big fan of Humble Bundle (even if some recent bundles have been less than stellar) but getting free stuff is always cool. So if you hurry over to https://www.humblebundle.com/store/amnesia-collection you can get Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs for free. Best to hurry cause you have just one day to get both games for FREE!

Last night I started my play-through of Borderlands 2... and I instantly remember part of a problem I had with the original Borderlands in how the enemies blend in with the background. I get the logic behind it, but I feel like I waste a lot of ammo because of it. But so far, the 'fetch' quests have made some sense. That said, It is a good think I've played Poker against Claptrap enough time to be able to tolerate the 'soothing' sound of his voice

Earlier today, Vince McMahon announced what we all knew... that he's bringing back the XFL... and well... at least he learned something from the 2001 debacle, in that instead of launching the league within 1 year, it's going to be a building process and to actually make it different from the NFL in a number of ways, most notably possibly there being no half-time, which I'm all for. I do have to wonder if venues are going to be a problem. I know that shouldn't be the case, but you do have these tight-fist lease agreements with teams and stadiums that the NFL team owners could try and lock out another team from another league playing there.

Speaking of McMahons, I am not a fan of Stephanie McMahon being on commentary for the Women's Rumble match this Sunday for several reasons, 1) her history on commentary has been awful, 2) it sets up the obvious of her 'entering and winning', and 3) despite the claim that she is a female leader in a male dominated industry, she was basically handed her job because she is 'daddy's little girl' (note: she was made apart of the WWE creative team back in 2000 and since that moment, the trend of the WWE has been a steady spiral downward). In fact, her involvement leads me to believe that the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match this Sunday will end up a fucking mess much like how the first Women's Money in the Bank match did last summer because they just had to include James Ellsworth, a character Stephanie McMahon loved at the expense of the real performers... and don't get me started on Ronda Rousey's possible involvement.

I'm currently looking at various options for my next PC... and I'm conflicted on if I should go with a straight gaming rig, or something more all around, since I game, stream, record and (Barely) edit content on my current PC. Being on a budget makes things very interesting as well as I have to factor in getting the most for my dollar... too bad I have limited retail options in my area with Best Buy and Wal-Mart being the dominate stores that sell multiple types of computers.

Borderlands 2 Highlights And Thoughts Of The Day

Here are clips from my January 24, 2018 broadcast of Borderlands 2

THOUGHTS ON THE DAY

Several years ago the WWE cut all ties with Hulk Hogan because of comments he made in private one would think that would set a standard. Nope it didn't. Now in the past couple of days a lot has come out about two WWE Superstars, Roman Reigns being revealed to getting illegal steroids and Enzo Amore being a social deviant, and yet only Enzo was fired. Why is that? Is it because Reigns being a pet project of Vince McMahon's who approved of such behavior back in the 1980s? And what about Rich Swan who assaulted his own girlfriend last year and yet remains on the WWE Roster? Or what about one of the Usos once again getting arrested for being an idiot? The WWE isn't going to properly punish their Superstars because it's inconvenient for the company to do so, and I won't be surprised if it takes someone pulling a Chris Benoit for the WWE to step up its game

On this week's episode of Supergirl, the character of Livewire was killed off and was given a heroic death, saving Supergirl from Reign while on Fort Rozz, while this was cool, I do hate it when what basically should be reoccurring characters are killed off. Sure Livewire got to go out a hero, but considering how cool the character has always been, taking her out of play seems just wrong. Of course because of the Arrow-verse there can be another Livewire on another Earth so they can bring the character back (like they did with Laurel Lance) but it's a total cop-out.

I'm really sick of Yahoo's front page being nothing but slanted social-justice preaching propaganda in the form of peoples blogs with click-bait titles designed to get people to be mad about a particular issue. And the worst part is, there is no way to block such things from appearing. Yahoo says you can 'filter out' what you don't want to see on your front page but that has been and always will be a bold face lie.

The 2018 Baseball Hall of Fame Class was announced and I have no issues with Chipper Jones, Jim Thome, Vladimir Guerrero or Trevor Hoffman getting in... hell I got to see Jones, Thome and Guerrero play at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia... however I do find it amazing that Edgar Martinez got denied YET AGAIN... why? Because he was primarily a DH... which has been a valid position in Baseball since the 1970s? Sure he got on 70% of the ballots so he got close, but he has only one year left to get in based on the sports writers votes, and we sure as hell can't trust them to do the right thing.

Review of Wolverine & Jubilee: Curse of the Mutants, Batman The Enemy Within and Star Trek Online

Like a fair amount of comic book fans, the first time I became aware of the character of Jubilee was in the 1992 X-Men cartoon series that aired as part of the Fox Kids Saturday Morning line-up, and it was quickly established that she would be Wolverine's side-kick (more or less) on the show... and while I've never kept up fully with how Jubilee evolved in the comics outside of a few random issues here and there. However when I saw there was trade-paperback called 'Wolverine & Jubilee: Curse of the Mutants' I was intrigued, just by the title.

Unfortunately, this was when I was a bit of a lull when it came to comic book reading, and so I wasn't totally up-to-speed on a lot of key details, such as Jubilee (and damn near every other mutant) being de-powered and her becoming a vampire, with the only thing keeping her from going on a blood sucking spree is Wolverine's blood because of his healing factor. Now one of the strengths of any good comic book (particularly a trade that is collecting a certain story) is giving some key details so  that a reader isn't totally loss, and I do feel that Wolverine & Jubilee: Curse of the Mutants does a fair job of doing just that.

Now the actual plot of the story is that Jubilee is trying to cope with her new Vampiric state, but it isn't really going well, Wolverine takes her off to Siberia because of the lack of sunlight where she gets used as a pawn by the leader of a Vampire gang to get Wolverine to do a task for them. Outside of the blood-suckers, it's a fairly standard plot with Wolverine over-coming the odds to win the day There is plenty of action and character development, but with the title having both 'Wolverine & Jubilee' in the title, one would have assumed they would've been sharing the action, but this is more of a 'Wolverine' story for a good 3/4ths of it. Not a bad thing, just took a little out of what I was expecting, but I did enjoy reading it.

Oh I almost forget (yeah how could I forget something I'm writing...) there is one added bonus to Wolverine & Jubilee: Curse of the Mutants, it also includes Uncanny X-Men #244 which was the issue in which Jubilee debuted. Even though she is not the focus in that, it is an enjoyable read.

BATMAN: THE ENEMY WITHIN - What Ails You

It's been a while since I've been Batman, and finally TellTale released chapter four of Batman: The Enemy Within, and while it was a little short, it did do a lot in terms of building John up to being the Joker, and if it wasn't for Amanda Waller, I think John wouldn't have gone off the deep end. The stuff with Alfred leaves a lot to be desired as there is a no-win option there, and I will admit... I did get Batman killed once during this (It's on the highlight reel see below!)

STAR TREK ONLINE: Scylla and Charybdis

Star Trek Online is celebrating it's 8th anniversary and we have a big mission that ties up the Tzenkethi proto-matter plot and introduces a new enemy, the Hur'q, one of the greatest foes from ancient Klingon history. The mission itself is a total slug fest, but well worth it, and the drama of having to defend Bajor not once but twice and the arrival of the Dominion and the surprise return of ODO has me eager for the next big mission!

And of course, here are highlights from my January 23, 2018 broadcast of Batman: The Enemy Within Chapter 4

RAW 25th Anniversary Thoughts and Tonight's Highlights!

So tonight the (Or rather last night) the WWE held it's broadcast for the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night RAW... and good lord was it terrible. For what should've been a celebration of the past 25 years, the WWE just wasted everything possible from sticking people into comedy skits and kept folks out away from being in front of the crowd. Hell it seemed as if most of what happened took place on the Titan Tron's so if I was at the Barclay Center of the Manhattan Center and spent 3 hours primarily looking at a screen I'd be pissed. Ah well...

Anyway here are Highlights From My January 23, 2018 broadcast of Final Exam, Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin and BlazBlue Continuum Shift

Doctor Who: The Savages Part 4

It is Monday January 22, 2018, and this week's Doctor Who review is part 4 of The Savages

The fourth chapter of the Savages aired June 18, 1966 with 4.5 Million Viewers tuning in, this was a drop from the 5 Million that watched part three the previous week.

The story of the episode is very straight forward, it is revealed that when Jano risked himself in the transference of the Doctor’s intellect into himself, he gained the Doctor’s sense of right and wrong, which leads him to want to destroy the lab to get things set right. Plus the guard that was captured and held in the cave Exores also sees the errors of his ways when Nanina opens his eyes with her willingness to go against the others who want to kill him.

This is the only episode of the story that had clips from the original broadcast, most of which involve the ending when Steven is chosen to be the new leader of the City and Cave dwellers, since he is a neutral party, it was nice to see the actual reactions of him, Dodo and The Doctor as good-byes were said.

Peter Purves who played Steven, said he would’ve loved to return to Doctor Who at some point to see what was the result of Steven being left in character, preferably if the character turned into an evil bastard or if things went really wrong. I’m actually surprised that hasn’t been done in some form, particularly sense Mr. Purves has played the role of Steven for Big Finish Production in 19 release… but I bet it has to do with how fractured the ownership of various characters and concepts from the original Doctor Who is.

On a side note: following his stint on Doctor Who, Purves would be a presenter on the children’s TV program Blue Peter from November 1967 to March 1978…. making him the second longest tenured presenter in that program’s history and has been associated in some form or fashion with the TV coverage of Dog Shows.

Next Week: We’ll begin our 4 part look at the last story of the classic Doctor Who’s third season ‘The War Machines, where we say good-bye to Dodo… and meet new companions Ben Jackson and Polly

Ohranger, Football, Dodgeball and Highlights From Tonight's Twitch Broadcast!

Following last night's broadcast I went on to watch the entire series of Chouriki Sentai Ohranger, the series that would end up being Power Rangers Zeo, and I enjoyed it a lot more than I did Zeo, primarily because the villains were treated as more of a threat than just a spin on the Rita / Zedd formula.  Not to mention the monsters of the day have a lot more vicious intents than how there portrayed on Zeo, for example one mutating a father who ends up snatching kids to mutate them into more monsters.

Also watched Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story from 2004, a pretty funny film at times but did it really have to include the seemingly obligatory 'hero gets his head messed with, leaves team in a bid only to return for the big game' gimmick? Also... the fat suit for Ben Stiller was awfully fake, there are ways to make it look good, but they went for the gross-out factor which really didn't work as a 'mid credits' gag.

Speaking of underdogs... did the heavily favored Minnesota Vikings forget how to play, they got steamed rolled by the underdog Philadelphia Eagles 38-7 in the NFC Championship game. The game was competitive for all of 5 minutes... anyway, good chance the Eagles will lose in the Super Bowl cause the media and the NFL would want Tom Brady to win another Super Bowl before he retires to cement his legacy even further.

And of course here are highlights from my January 21, 2018 broadcast of Poker Night 2, BlazBlue Continuum Shift, Gunstar Heroes, Smite and DuckTales: Remastered

Future Mass Effect and Life is Strange Before The Storm Plans, Plus Mass Effect 3 Highlights

Tonight I finished my 'Renegade Run' through the Mass Effect Trilogy... but I'm not done with the games just yet, no sir... in fact I'm already planning to a 'Biotic' run where I'll play as a Male Commander Sheppard, the plan is to have to the romance with Ashley, and either Jack or Miranda... not Liara because when I romance Thane in Mass Effect 2, Liara has the nerve to basically say 'Since Thane is gonna die how about we hook back up' in the early stage of Mass Effect 3

Coming Spring / Summer 2018

But with the wrap up of my renegade run it means I have an opening on my schedule... which will allow for me to start playing Borderlands 2! The plan is to play as the Siren, even though from what I read her powers are different than Lilith's were in the first Borderlands Game

Also, just read that Life is Strange Before The Storm: Farewell is scheduled to be released on for March 6, 2018, and I'm looking forward to it.

Bonus Episode, Farewell... March 6, 2018

And of course here are highlights from my January 20, 2018 broadcast of Mass Effect 3!

REVIEW: Justice League Power Rangers

https://i.redd.it/g7ank34d0piy.jpgAs a kid, I had a lot of action figures, often from different franchises... Real Ghostbusters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Star Trek, and so forth... and one thing I would do when I played with them is have them interact, thinking, it would be so cool if these characters would interact for 'real'... and come up with little ideas for why say the Ninja Turtles would pal-around with the crew of the Enterprise-D and do battle against Shredder and the Borg.

Now considering in recent years we've seen a lot of unlikely crossovers, and the general vibe of a lot of them is clearly from a kid perspective of these What Ifs that just about any kid could think up being put in comic book form... from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover over with the Ghostbusters... Doctor Who and Star Trek The Next Generation... or what I just finished reading today (after getting the trade collection from Amazon) Justice League and Power Rangers.

Originally released throughout 2017 (a year that saw both franchise get horrible new movies made) in a six issue mini-series, the base story is that Lord Zedd breaks into the Command Center, causes a ruckus leading to him and Zack (The Black Ranger) ending up in DC Universe, where a basic misunderstanding as a result of Batman being a dick leads to a fight between the Power Rangers and the likes of Superman, Wonder Woman, Jon Stewart, Cyborg & The Flash in Gotham City. Lord Zedd is found by Braniac, they team up go back to the Rangers Universe so that Braniac can get a 'Earth city' for his collection, the Rangers and Justice League team up, hi-jinks ensue and the day is eventually saved.

Yeah that's a bare-bones plot description without giving away too many spoilers, but the scenario in and of itself is what makes this Justice League Power Rangers work, we get the heroes fighting each other for a bit and then working together to save the day... how many people who had action figures of both franchises came up with something similar growing up? And it's because of that, I found myself smiling as I read through the story. Every little detail from Wonder Woman using her lasso to find out the truth about the Rangers to the Rangers having to use some spare pieces of Justice League attire when they lose their powers (Kimberly wearing a Hawk Girl mask and using the Green Arrow's bow and arrow for example) to Alpha 5 calling Braniac selfish just works on so many levels, plus the ending leaves an opening for sequel

Of course I would have to talk about the artwork, which is easy on the eyes, no necessary dark gritty coloring. If there is something about the artwork that I don't like is people talking through their teeth or with their mouths closed, but that is just nit picking.

FINAL VERDICT: Highly Recommend
