Arrow: What We Leave Behind (Recap & Review)

Hello Dwellers and Welcome to the Basement...

It's Wednesday night and we had a brand new episode of Arrrow, in fact it was the mid-season finale! So we're doing a little R&R of 'What We Leave Behind' (Season 5, Episode 9)

  •  Well after pissing off BC-GA shippers last season, you might as well call her 'Phoenix' with how tonight's episode ended
  • Prometheus saying he's going to make Oliver wish he was dead is nothing new, but him targeting those around Oli is certainly an awesome way to do it, such as making Oli kill Malone, forcing Curtis to tell his husband the truth about his late nights, and apparently setting Diggle up to be arrested.
  • This was the best use of the Flashbacks yet, setting things in season 1 to now having things logically come back to bite Oliver in the ass.

The Irony of WWE's Concern Regarding John Cena (The RAW View)

Hello Dwellers and Welcome to the Basement...

Recently Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported the WWE is growing concerned about John Cena's future with the company... and I find it a bit ironic considering in 2014, the WWE sent the message 'they were moving on from Cena'.

  • In hindsight, the decision to have Cena destroyed by Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam was the start of the latest decline of viewership for Monday Night RAW, after all no kids wants to see their heroes slaughtered
  •  While Cena has said he'd remain associated with the WWE long past when his days in the ring end, looking at outside projects is a wise move considering how the WWE has presented him in the past couple of years
  • Prior to 2014, Cena was the 'safety blanket', for when the guys the WWE tried to push failed, the #1 spot would go back to him, since then the WWE has resisted doing that, but it's clear nothing they have done since then is working.
  • Cena's popularity and demand has exploded in 2016, and since the WWE put him in the position to where he can easily pursue other projects, it's their own fault.

Agents of SHIELD: The Laws of Inferno Dynamics (Recap & Review)

Hello Dwellers and Welcome to the Basement...

It's Tuesday Night and we had a brand new episode of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD with the mid-season finale 'The Laws of Inferno Dynamics' (Season 4, Episode 8) and so we're recapping and reviewing it, plus we're talking about ABC's plans involving Marvel's InHumans!

  • This wasn't just a mid-season finale, this was a chapter closer, as basically the Eli-Robbie-Ghost Rider stuff got wrapped up fairly nice and neat....
  • Mace is a total B.S. artist, knows how to work the media to his advantage even getting Daisy back on board...
  • The Mack-YoYo stuff felt a tad bit tacked on but I'll give it a pass...
  • ADA has the Real Agent May locked in a closet and an Android is in her spot, which sets up the opening of the second half of the Season, subtitled 'L.M.D.', aka Life Model Decoy
  • All in all not really a whole lot to talk about it really, if ABC cancelled the show, get rid of the revelation about ADA and it's a nice series closer.
  • I believe Agents of SHIELD returns January 17, 2016, not sure
