Treks & Voyages: Gravity

Hello Dwellers & Welcome to the Basement... This is 'Treks & Voyages', basically an excuse for me to talk about random episodes of Star Trek when I have some freed up segments here on my pokey little YouTube channel. Much like the Ghostbusters Containment Unit, you can suggest which episodes I take a look at. First up from Star Trek: Voyager, the episode 'Gravity'

QUICK NOTES This was episode 13 of Voyager's 5th seasonThere is some obvious similarities with Noss in this episodes and Jaylah in Star Trek BeyondThe extra insight into Tuvok's past with why he doesn't out right return Noss's affections is well handled, nothing felt rush and everything had a pay offBecause of the time dynamic of the planet they are on, Noss's growing affection is shown every well and played perfectlyThis is one of Voyager's better episodes I really dislike  the 'Janeway is always right' rule that Voyager plays under, particularly in a crisis situation, …

Undecided: The Movie (Basement Matinee)

Hello Dwellers and Welcome to the Basement...

On this edition of Basement Matinee, I review the 2016 film “Undecided: The Movie”, which is a mockumentary that was made during the circus that was 2016 Presidential Election

QUICK NOTES Many of the stunts and events of this film ended up as national news as 'sensationalized' events, such as the issue with the arm bands, and people being ejected from campaign ralliesThe story of two guys signing up for a reality show and going on a road trip on the campaign trail really holds up, in fact it's the strongest part of the filmAll three of the prominent characters we see (Dan, John and their road producer Jen) have a nice basic character arc, that is quite entertaining to watch.Highly recommended for the story alone, though the stuff with our 'heroes' interacting with those who were running for President is an 'interesting' bonus to help laugh at how idiotic everything was.

Hello Dwellers and Welcome to the Basement...

Tonight the WWE held it's TLC: Tables Ladders & Chairs pay-per-view event... and this is my RAW View of the events that occurred as I go over all seven matches that took place.

QUICK NOTES  Apollo Crews, The Hype Bros & American Alpha  defeated Curt Hawkins, The Vaudevillains  & The Ascension It is amazing that American Alpha is treading water considering how good they areBray Wyatt & Randy Orton defeated Heath Slater & Rhyno to win the SmackDown Tag TitlesSlater & Rhyno had no chance at all at winningI liked the finish of Harper taking a gore for Orton, which lead to Orton hitting an RKO on Rhyno for the winNikki Bella defeated Carmella in a NO DQ MatchMatch felt like it just 'stopped' with the sudden finish following Nikki spraying Carmella with a fire extinguisherI liked Carmella isolating Nikki's leg, constantly attacking it, such has striking it with a kendo strick when Nikki was upside down in t…
