Talking Anime Blue Seed: More Bad Luck! Why Does This Always Happen to Me?!

Hello Dwellers and Welcome To The Basement...

Bonus episode of 'Talking Anime', and tonight we're going over episode 4 of Blue Seed, it's Momiji's first day at the TAC... what could've gone wrong?!

QUICK NOTES
  • This episode while clearly focused on Momiji's first day at the TAC, it's more about Koume and seeing how she is, and it's clear she's just a total bad ass who isn't girly in anyway
  • That said, Koume is someone who if you win her over, she'll ease up a bit
  • Momiji's ability to detect where Aragami are where to target their 'blue seeds' is basically the perfect excuse to put her out in the field, and in high risk situations
  • The comedy in this episode is really well done, though I have to wonder just how often the bit that probably inspired Koume grabbing the wrong person and being called a 'fiend' actually occurs
  • I like the design and the execution of the water Aragami, and it leads into the fact that each Aragami is different, needing different approaches to defeat them

SCREEN CAPS

First Day At The TAC, what could go wrong?

Koume says: Don't mess with my toys!

A case of mistaken identity!

Next stop: Aragami Central!

The water Aragami cometh!

Koume I don't think that is gonna work

Death from above!

Oh yeah Kusangi was in this episode too... I knew I forgot about something

Aim for the throat!

Koume with a bow on her head... don't get use to it!

Supergirl: Changing (Recap & Review)

Hello Dwellers and Welcome to the Basement...

It's Monday and we had a new episode of Supergirl that we are recapping and review, the episode was titled 'Changing' (Season 2, Episode  6)

QUICK NOTES

  • Could Alex coming out to Kara have been more 'Lifetime / After School Special' in how it was presented? Don't get me wrong, but it felt very rushed and I think the character of Alex Danvers deserves better
  • Jimmy Olsen as Guardian makes sense since they kinda wiped the memories of the guy who was that particularly hero in the comics... he does need to done the classic gold and blue because he looks too similar to Diggle's Spartan
  • Parasite looked freaking awesome though he needed one less eye and a horn so that he could be one eye one horn giant purple people eater,  that wouldn't look strange to me
  • There needs to be more of drunk Kara....
  • Super-friends reference FTW!
  • Mon-El has been captured by Cadmus... that can't be good, but he did get Kara drunk which needs to happen more often

Ashley Massaro's Case Against The WWE Has Merit

Hello Dwellers and Welcome to the Basement...

You know I am a wrestling fan, and so as such, I have opinions as it relates to a lot of the concussion lawsuits brought against the WWE, and I think most are hogwash... however I think in the case of Ashley Massaro... her case has actual merit and justification. (Note: This vlog only focuses on her in-ring role with the WWE)

QUICK NOTES
  • Ashley officially won the RAW Diva Search on August 15, 2005, with her In-Ring Debut taking place on August 29, 2005
  • Assuming she was not getting in-ring training during the Diva Search, that is barely two weeks worth of training, and one has to simply watch that match and the ones that followed to see she was basically shoved into an in-ring role much sooner than she should have
  • One has to look at the amount of time she missed due to injury to see that she got banged up quite a bit during her WWE tenure, with only her 2007 Survivor hiatus being not related to an injury.
  • Unlike a lot of the other  concussion lawsuits brought against the WWE where folks worked else where before and after their time with the WWE, Ashley's in-ring exploits were only with the WWE
