Agents of SHIELD: Uprising Out Of The Shadows

Hello Dwellers and Welcome To The Basement!

Agents of SHIELD was back this week, with  'Uprising', and it was yet another good episode, the show is on a roll! So obviously in this vlog I'm talking about everything that went down.

QUICK NOTES
  • With all the thrashing about she had to do while strap down, I'm surprised the back of the actress who plays Agent May didn't snap!
  • YoYo's friends reactions to her being an Inhuman was very realistic, I've been around enough Latinas to know that
  • Finally got a name for the Director of SHIELD, it's Jeffrey Mace, whose about as straight arrow a guy as possible in the Marvel Universe, afterall, he was Captain America at one point!
  • Ghost Rider's little brother Gabe is a bit of a dick for telling Daisy to take a hike or else he'd expose her secret
  • This episode basically introduces the 'Friends of Humanity' to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I'm surprised the senator seen at the end didn't have the last name 'Kelly'

The Flash: Whats In The Paradox

Hello Dwellers & Welcome To The Basement Tonight, we're talking about the newest episode of The Flash (Season 3, Episode 2), with the all the fall out of Barry messing with the timeline

QUICK NOTES
  • Everything with Cisco felt a bit rushed as if to make sure he gets to be an active character with his 'Vibe' powers
  • The tease of Caitlin becoming Killer Frost was very well done, since only she knows about it
  • I feel like an idiot for thinking The Rival and Doctor Alchemy were one in the same
  • I love the Golden Age Flash costume, and I'm happy to see Jay Garrick pop up to talk sense into Barry
  • Jay's explanation on the effects of time travel on the time-space continuum was the best reason against it I've ever seen.
  • The addition of Singh as a normal antagonist for Barry at his actual job is a nice way to freshen things up a bit.
  • I'm expecting Wally West to fully become Kid Flash by the end of the season
  • Overall this episode was better than the season premier

Talking Gotham - New Day Rising In A Mad City

Hello Dwellers and Welcome to the Basement... woke up early to watch last night's Gotham, since Supergirl for me is more of a priority (let's face it, Superman is better than Batman). And so here is a quick vlog regarding what I thought about the fourth episode of Gotham's third season, 'Mad City - New Day Rising'. Does the new day rock? Well... somewhat...

QUICK NOTES
  • In my opinion, it seems like Five (Bruce's Clone) is going to end up being Batman
  • I don't see Penguin staying in the spot as Mayor of Gotham long
  • The main storyline (with Gordon / Mad Hatter) felt a bit 'lets get it done'
  • Interesting to see where the Butch / Nygma rivalry goes
  • Barnes being effected by Alice's blood means that he's probably getting written off the show soon
