Let's Play Star Trek Online: Dust To Dust

Hello and Welcome To The Basement... 

It's Tuesday, which means it's more fun with Star Trek Online... this week's mission is 'Dust To Dust'

There is a situation on Kobali Prime, Ensign... excuse me CAPTAIN Kim and the player's character have been asked by name to help... because let's face it the player's character is the only officer who knows what the hell they are doing. Anyway, the Vaadwaur have launched a large offensive and have retaken the area in front of Kobali temple, where a large number of Vaadwaur are being kept in stasis... but there's more to it than that....

Now for those of you who may not know, The Kobali is a race that reproduces by recycling the dead of other races, so you can see why this may cause an issue... and this particular mission ties in two episodes of Star Trek: Voyager...  one being 'Ashes to Ashes' (where the Kobali are introduced when an Ensign Lyndsay Ballard is resurrected and tries to return to her old l…

Local Spotlight: Danny Jennings, Yes They Bleed and Karate Unlimited

Hello and welcome to the Basement...
Today, I wanted to put a spotlight on someone local, Mr. Daniel Jennings , who in addition to being a Radio Personality, is also Karate Instructor at Karate Unlimited in Sicklerville, New Jersey. As I said in my blog regarding the 'SJ Comic Con and Toy Bonanza', he has a great idea of putting a martial arts display / exhibition with a comic book convention, because of the close ties between them, plus it ended up inspiring me to think about the why is it that martial arts are so heavily featured in comics... so obviously the big thing Itook away from speaking with him is his enthusiasm in prompting martial arts, with 28 years experience with a black belt in 'Tae Kown Do', plus teaching it for 18 years, the man is as legit as they come.
