First a disclaimer, this is just my own opinions, no one paid me anything for this... would be nice if they did, but hey, they are getting free publicity.
The 'They' is Usborne Books, now I don't have kids of my own, but I do have two nieces, who are pretty young, so when I heard about Usborne Books through a friend for a Facebook event, I figured I'd look into them, to see what they are all about.
Basically they have a lot of fiction and non-fiction reading material perfect for those with kids that are babies / toddlers all the way to middle school, a lot of what they have seems like what I'd use to get when the schools I was in had the Scholastic Book Fairs... just with better prices. There's also an partnernship with KaneMiller.com, which I know also has educational books, games, etc.
I do know that Usborne has won numerous awards recently including the Teacher's Choice and has been named one of the 100 Best Children's Products, so that certainly says a lot, particularly in this day and age, and it should be noted that Kane Miller also has its fair share of educational awards accolades.
Since as I said, I have a couple of nieces, and wanting to be the 'cool but responsible uncle' (yes I know that's an oxymoron), I think I'll be keeping Usborne in mind for this upcoming holiday season, because there are some great gift ideas on that site in my opinion.
Now if you want more info on Usborne Books you can check them out www.usbornebooksandmore.com
