Anatomy of a Psycho

Hello Dwellers and Welcome To The Basement...

In the past couple of weeks I had a number of movies donated to the Basement to be featured as content subjects for my From The Vault segment. And since quite a few could be great viewing for Halloween based on their titles. And so my first film from this batch to watch... 1961's Anatomy of a Psycho...

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS AND SCREEN CAPS

This is the first film I've ever seen starring Ronnie Burns... and to be honest I never knew George Burns and Grace Allen had a kid... turns out they adopted a couple, pretty cool... and I realize I called Ronnie Burns 'Mickey' in my vlog, cause I knew what I wanted to talk about but ahead of myself.

The ending really does irk me, as the film basically stops... it's really unsatisfying considering everything that was being built up. Even if this is a totally average movie, it does work, but the final five minutes totally fail everything, and we are left wanting a proper conclusion.

And yeah I have to say this Pamela Lincoln (who played Pat) was quite gorgeous... love the look she has in this film regardless of the scene.

Should say that Ed Wood co-wrote the screen play, but under an assumed name... guess he didn't want to be associated with something fairly decent?

While the film was released on DVD in 2001, the DVD that was donated to me was from 2006 through Alpha Home Entertainment, and came with a mini-catalog that featured an ad for that infamous Paula Abdul & Randy Jackson Ultimate Voice Coach CD-DVD set.
