Hello Dwellers and Welcome To The Basement...
The trend of Sonic Games on Thursdays Continue with this long play of Sonic The Hedgehog 2.
This is the 16-bit version released in 1992, and as far as I'm concerned, it stars Tails as the hero, as I do this long play as Tails to continue the theory that he's the one looking to stop Eggman in this 'Sonic is Dead' timeline. Now I was playing this more to see how far I could get (answer: Wing Fortress Zone) and was not fully concerned with chasing after the chaos emeralds... there are plenty other of players who do that.
So with that in mind, I had a pretty good run before things start to bite me in the rear in the third act of Metropolis Zone, and then the previously mentioned Wing Fortress. The game play does show I pretty much remember quite a lot of the game and how to proceed. getting through some acts in under two minutes (not many, but some).
So let me mention the obviously problem with the video and that's the audio, where I can't be heard over the game sound. Well I reinstalled the Sega Master Drive & Genesis Collection and forgot to adjust the sound settings... but I wasn't saying anything insightful, except my frustration when I make a careless mistake and when I started loses lives in short order. It would've been great if I got to Death Egg Zone... and it was within my grasp... but alas... I came up short.
Also there was weird glitch caused by my copy of Norton 360 which you'll see in the Aquatic Ruin Zone, which saw a sudden lag and choppy-audio... thankfully putting Norton into sleep mode for a bit, resolved that issue.
More than likely next Thursday I'll be playing Sonic 3 & Knuckles
